The Pros and Cons of Having a Part Time Job While Going Through Law School
Unless you have a very generous scholarship, you may find yourself having to contemplate taking up a part time job while going through law school. There are pros and cons to taking up such a job.
Starting with the pros, there is no denying that you can earn a bit of money by taking up a part time job while going through law school: that being money you can subsequently use to cater for your living expenses, so that you don’t draw too much money in terms of student loans. It can be really bad when you have a situation where you have to use student credit cards to cater for every expense that you incur while doing online shopping for anything in college. Secondly, by taking up a job (a part time job) while going through law school, you get a chance to acquire some experience.
Turning to the cons, there is the fact that taking up a part-time job while going through law school can interfere with your studies: like where you end up with little time to undertake private study, leading to attainment of less than ideal law school grades. Law school is quite demanding, especially in countries like the United States, where law is studied scientifically under the Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
